Teach you the right pH

Acidic water environment is unfavorable to the metabolism of many aquaculture animals.  When the pH value is too low, it can reduce the flow rate of fish blood and cause symptoms similar to human cerebral thrombosis. When the pH value is too high, it can corrode the gills of fish and shrimp, reduce fish food intake and affect the growth rate.  

The change of pH affects the degree of oxygen utilization and reduces the tolerance of fish to hypoxic conditions, and increases the suffocation point when pH is too high or too low.  

In acidic conditions, the reduction of hypoxic endurance of most fish was more significant.  The absorption rate of fish was decreased under acidic conditions.  The change of pH is also closely related to the reproduction and development of aquaculture animals.  Many animals have poor development when pH is too high or too low. The egg membrane softens in acidic water with low pH, and the egg ball collapses and loses its elasticity, easily breaking the membrane in advance. When pH is greater than 9.5, the egg membrane will dissolve in advance.  PH also has an impact on microorganisms. When the pH of water environment exceeds or is below its suitable growth range, the growth of microorganisms will be inhibited, and the composition and proportion of microorganisms will also change.  

For example, at low pH, the concentration of iron and hydrogen sulfide will increase, and the toxicity of these components and low pH have synergistic effect, the lower the pH, the greater the toxicity;  On the other hand, high pH will increase the toxicity of ammonia, providing conditions for cyanobacteria to reproduce and cause cyanobacteria to erupt.  In addition, when pH deviates from the middle part to the weakly alkaline range and becomes too high or too low, the photosynthesis of plants and decomposition of spoilage bacteria will be inhibited.  The former will affect the oxygen status of water and the respiratory conditions of animals, and the latter will affect the concentration of organic matter in water.  

First, an inappropriate pH will disrupt the supply of phosphate and inorganic nitrogen, the most important material base for water production.  If the water is more alkaline, it will form insoluble tricalcium phosphate, and the acid will form insoluble iron phosphate and aluminum phosphate, which will reduce the fertilizer efficiency.  In the cycle of nitrogen pH also lifting to the role, nitrification nitrogen fixation with weak alkaline pH 7.0 ~ 8. 5 is the most suitable, acid or strong alkaline conditions will be inhibited.  Secondly, pH directly affects the photosynthesis of plants and the life activities of various microorganisms, thus affecting the whole material metabolism of water bodies.
