Whether aeration pipe can be laid at the bottom depends largely on how much silt the pond bottom carries. With heavy silt, direct straight-pipe laying is not convenient for later maintenance — aeration discs are the better choice. Some users insert PVC pipe into large-diameter nanotube and drill holes; this reduces the microporous aeration effect and is not recommended. The 360-degree aerator format has proven effective in aquaculture and receives very good user feedback. On tube appearance: single-wire and double-wire nanotube aerate with essentially the same effect — the difference is cosmetic. The visible difference is surface finish: tubes with a rougher surface release larger bubbles, while smooth-surface tubes release smaller ones, because the pore size differs.
