Zhongxin ZXMSR-series roots blowers are positive-displacement machines purpose-built for bottom aeration in aquaculture — feeding microporous tubing and aeration discs in shrimp ponds, fish ponds and RAS tanks. The ZXMSR series covers 11 sizes (ZXMSR-40 to ZXMSR-300) with air flows from 0.4 to 136+ m³/min and pressures up to 98 kPa, so there is a model for every pond size from a 1-mu nursery to a 50+ mu production farm.

Sizing notes
Pressure range: 9.8–58.8 kPa standard (higher-pressure models to 98 kPa available). 1 mu ≈ 667 m²; pond-size mapping is a guideline — final selection by air demand and depth.
Sizing rule of thumb: 1 kW of motor supports roughly 100–150 m of microporous tubing; air demand ≈ tubing length × 0.1–0.4 m³/h per metre; pressure = water depth + 15–20% headroom.

System matching
- Lay tubing lines 3–5 m apart, 10–20 cm above the pond bottom.
- Size the main pipe so friction stays under ~10% of total pressure.

Frequently asked questions
Roots blower vs regenerative blower — which for ponds?
Roots blowers (positive displacement) hold pressure when lines are partially blocked and feed multiple lines from one manifold — the correct choice for aquaculture bottom aeration. Regenerative blowers suit small shallow tanks.
How much air do I need for my pond?
Calculate from tubing: air demand = tubing length × 0.1–0.4 m³/h per metre. Example: 150 m of tubing at 0.2 m³/h·m = 30 m³/h (0.5 m³/min) FAD.
What pressure does a 3 m deep pond need?
About 0.35–0.45 bar: water depth 0.3 bar + pipe friction + 15–20% headroom. Check the blower’s pressure–flow curve at your required flow.
Is the output air oil-free?
Yes — the special sealing design prevents oil from entering the casing, so output air is oil-free (important for aquatic life).
What maintenance is needed?
Check oil level monthly, change oil per the manual schedule, and keep the intake filter clean. A maintained roots blower runs reliably for many seasons.
Can one blower feed several ponds?
Yes, with a correctly sized manifold and isolation valves per pond. Size the blower for total air flow and the deepest pond’s pressure.

Service, lubricants and warranty
Every ZXMSR blower ships with an operation and maintenance manual that fixes the service points rather than leaving them to guesswork. The schedule runs daily, monthly, six-monthly and at two to three years: discharge pressure below the nameplate value, flow within 10% of nameplate, inlet and ambient temperature below 40 °C, current and voltage within 10% of the motor nameplate, plus belt tension and pulley alignment, gear-oil level, air-filter cleaning, bearing grease, and eventual belt, filter-sponge and bearing replacement.
The specified lubricants are N220 medium-load industrial gear oil (kinematic viscosity 198–242 mm²/s at 40 °C, flash point not below 200 °C) and ZL-3H synthetic lithium grease (penetration 220–250). Gear oil is changed once after the first month of running. Ambient temperature must stay below 40 °C — above that, blower life shortens sharply and additional ventilation is needed. A new unit may run noisily or draw high current for the first 10–20 minutes while the lubricant beds in; this is normal and settles on its own.

Buying direct: common questions
Can you customize the voltage for my country?
Yes. Motors are wound for 220 / 380 / 460 V at 50 or 60 Hz and the control panel is configured for the same grid. Tell us the voltage, phase and frequency at the quotation stage — a mismatched or rewound motor runs hot and loses performance, so this is decided before production, not at shipping.
Do you offer OEM / private-label production?
Yes, both OEM (built to your drawing or specification) and ODM (our existing designs adapted to your market). Nameplates, model coding, cartons, manuals and float colours can carry your brand, and the branding details are fixed at the sampling stage so the first batch matches what you sell.
What is your MOQ and lead time?
Both depend on the model and the level of customization, so they are quoted per order and confirmed in writing rather than published as fixed figures. Standard configurations can usually be sampled; customized SKUs need a minimum batch because of tooling and material minimums. Lead time runs from the moment the specification is frozen.
How do I verify a factory before placing an order?
Ask for the plant address (city and province, not just "China"), a video of the production process for the product you are buying, the list of parts made in-house versus bought in, a pressure/airflow record at your duty point, and references at your scale. We are the manufacturer rather than a trading company, so these answers come with data — and a video call through the workshop can be arranged during your due diligence.
